Istanbul is planning a taxi transformation as the city will soon introduce a fresh design and app based taxi system.
These taxis will be colourful, this transformation is currently in the final stages of design and will operate exclusively through a mobile application.
Design options have been created all using white backgrounds, and the designs will be introduced on the Fiat Egea vehicles.
Currently going through the final stages of technical preparations, infrastructure regulations, and operational procedures, the vehicles will receive their special vinyl wraps, designs voted for by the public, before hitting the streets to begin services.
These taxis will not be picking up passengers directly from the streets, but work specifically via the app bookings.
Launch date not finalised yet, but the project is advancing quickly, this will modernize Istanbul’s transportation system and give some of the city’s taxis a sleek new look.
