Turkey is rapidly rising to the top of the list of popular destinations for British tourists in the summer of 2026. A discernible increase in demand is being driven by competitively priced all-inclusive packages and reasonably cost flights. If compared to the same period last year, the number of UK visitors to Turkey increased by 16% last month. The overall number of British visitors had already reached 4.27 million in 2025, and the increasing trend is undoubtedly still going strong.
Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman, and Izmir continue to be popular travel destinations.
From London, flights start at around £15
The cost of flights is a significant factor in this change. Travelling from London to Turkey has become incredibly economical, according to Google Flights data. Extremely cheap one-way tickets, such as £15 to Bodrum, £28 to Dalaman, £30 to Antalya, £33 to Istanbul, £41 to Izmir, and £52 to Ankara, have been seen.
The Ryanair trip from London Stansted to Bodrum on April 15, which plummeted to just £15 one way, was one particularly good offer.
Low-cost holiday packages draw attention

For instance, starting from £212 per person for departures on April 22, EasyJet Holidays provides a seven-night self-catering package in Marmaris that includes flights. For £214 per person, a comparable seven-night stay in Dalaman with breakfast is offered.
Turkey is now among the most affordable travel destinations for British tourists this year due to these prices.
Belek continues to be a hotspot for Golf Tourism
Belek is a top golf location in the Mediterranean for those seeking something more upscale. The starting price for a seven-night all-inclusive golf vacation that includes airfare is about £837 per person. On the upscale side, packages that include four rounds of golf at one of the biggest golf resorts in Turkey can cost up to £2,499 per person.
Momentum is also being perceived by industry insiders. Bookings have significantly increased, according to representatives of major travel agencies, and a particularly busy summer season is anticipated.
As alternatives become less appealing, Turkey gains ground
Turkey has indirectly benefited from the ongoing tensions in some parts of the Middle East, which have decreased demand for places like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The majority of Turkey is deemed safe for travel, with the exception of regions within 10 kilometers of the Syrian border, according to updated travel guidelines from the UK Foreign Office.
Turkey is gaining more attention due to its perceived safety, affordability, and accessibility.
Growing flight networks promote development
Additionally, airlines are reacting to growing demand. EasyJet has improved access for UK travellers by launching additional services from Newcastle to 22 locations, including Antalya and Dalaman.
