On June 12th, 2025, the Touristic Karaelmas Express passes near water and mountains, highlighting the natural splendour of Turkey. Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, said Friday would mark the start of the Touristic Karaelmas Express, which will run between Ankara and Zonguldak.

“Our train will offer passengers the opportunity to rediscover the cultural and natural heritage of the Western Black Sea region,” he said in a written statement.
How many trips with the train make?
The train has four sleeper cars, one couchette vehicle, and two dining carriages. It will make eight round journeys. The train, which can carry 120 people, will leave Ankara at 9:25 p.m.
On Saturday morning, it will pause in Karabük/Yeşilyenice for four hours before continuing on to Zonguldak. On Saturday evening, the return journey will start at 11:55 p.m. The train will return to Ankara at 7:02 p.m. on Sunday after making two-hour sightseeing breaks in Çerkeş, five-hour stops in Çankırı, and two-hour-and-thirty-minute stops in Kalecik.
When will the last trip depart?
Additionally, the train will leave Ankara on June 13th, September 26th, October 10th, and November 14th, with the final trip leaving Zonguldak on November 15th.
