New sea bus services will begin this month with a service between Bodrum – Turgutreis – Didim starting on the 1st July and a service between Fethiye – Marmaris starting on the 2nd July.
An opening ceremony was held this morning at the Didim D Marina Passenger Pier to officially kick off the new transportation services. Mugla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras and Aydin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ozlem Cercioglu were both in attendance.
By taking the Bodrum – Turgurtries – Didim route via sea will only take 1 hour, rather than the 3 hours it takes by road and the Fethiye – Marmaris route will only take 2 hours via the sea bus service.
This new way of transportation will benefit both local and foreign tourists as well as citizens. The aim of this new form of transport is not only to help reduce traffic, especially during the summer season, but it is also to help create a much safer, faster, easier and sustainable means to travel.
