With 39 beaches receiving Blue Flag designation, Aydin Province is currently placed fourth in the country. Didim boasts a number of private resorts and public beaches that meet the requirements.
Turkey now has 580 Blue Flag beaches, according to data published by the International Foundation for Environmental Education. They received the Blue Flag award because they successfully fulfilled the requirements for safety, saltwater purity, and environmental cleanliness.
After Greece and Spain, Turkey continues to be the third most sustainable travel destination in the world. With 232 beaches, Antalya led the list, followed by Muğla with 113 and İzmir with 60.
