In recent news Turkey is expecting to welcome Brits for holidays this summer and without proof of a vaccination or a negative test result.
Mehmet Ersoy, Turkey’s tourism minister said “I expect there will be no such requirement from British visitors as the UK government is rapidly and impressively rolling out the vaccination programme for the whole nation, and a significant portion of the population will be vaccinated by early summer.”
All staff working in the tourism industry will be expecting the jab before the summer season begins.
Ersoy stated “we are working with British authorities to ensure these necessary processes are world class and as up to date as possible” and that “we will not require vaccination passports from international travellers when entering the country.”
Ersoy said that he is “looking forward to welcoming British tourists with open arms” and that “we have world-class border processes in place for ensuring travel will low-risk throughout Turkey.”
Turkey will be re-evaluating in April whether or not visitors must produce evidence of a negative test result when entering the country.
