Turkish Sailing Federation League in Didim

Didim plays host to stages of the Turkish Sailing Federation Sailing League 2026. The Turkish Sailing Federation Sailing League competitions for 2025–2026 will take place at Didim in February and March.

The Amphitheatre’s Green Area will host the event. There was a lot of enthusiasm at the resort when the Didim Amphitheatre debuted in the summer of 2022. What better location than 2nd Bay by 3rd Beach, near Luna Park, for the magnificent Amphitheatre, which offers panoramic views of the sea? The 3,500-seat amphitheater has training rooms, a 750-seat hall, and a 150-seat movie theater. This is the ideal site for Didim to hold the Turkish Sailing Federation Sailing League competitions in February and March of 2026.

Sailing dates to put in your diary are as follows:

Third Leg Ilca (Turkish Championship), 3rd – 7th February

21st – 25th February: IQ Foil for the Second Leg

9th – 13th March: Formula for the Second Leg Wingfoil and Kite

Athletes for the national team will be chosen after the third leg of the races, and a national team training camp will follow right after.

What is Didim like?

On Turkey’s southwest coast is a resort called Altinkum, also known as Didim. The two names were created when Didim’s small town centre and Altinkum’s little village combined to form one district. But Didim is more inland, whereas Altinkum traditionally refers to the coastal regions. Translation of the term “Altinkum” is “golden sands.”

The 800m long Main Beach is located in the heart of the town and is bordered by a gorgeous promenade. The promenade incorporates contemporary elements and delightful seating places ideal to take in the views; this is the hub of Altinkum.

Numerous neighbourhood eateries, pubs, clubs, and a bazaar are crammed along the promenade and in Dolphin Square, which is right behind it. The harbour, where doughnut boats, banana boats, and glass-bottomed boats may be found, is located at the end of the seafront. You may enjoy boat tours to the Greek Islands of Kos and Samos.

It takes 5 minutes to walk to the smaller Second Beach. Third Beach, which is in the opposite direction and is popular with families for its shallow clear waters, is nearby.

There is a fantastic yacht club in Altinkum; the magnificent D Marina is also nearby. The yachting club has wonderful facilities with upscale eateries and designer stores. For a nominal fee, you can spend the day at the Marina Yacht Club or its Beach Club and enjoy a day of pampering, on your holiday, and limited capacity means you never have to compete for space.

Turkish nationals, ex-pats and visitors alike, all look forward to these events taking place in Didim. Didim is also known as the popular resort of Altinkum.
