Turkish-made seats in AJet's Boeing Aircraft

Turkish-made Seats are Incorporated into AJet’s latest Boeing Aircraft. Turkish Airline AJet, a low-cost division of Turkish Airlines (THY), is making great strides.  AJet has rebranded from AndalouJet and is going from strength to strength.

According to AJet, Turkish experts are entirely designing and manufacturing the seats for the new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft that were recently introduced to the company’s fleet.

AJet has made local production a top strategic objective as it continues to grow its fleet.  As a result, on its recently purchased aircraft, AJet, the youngest airline in Turkey, currently uses seats made entirely in Turkey.  Six Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft began to join AJet’s fleet in early August, and the number is still growing. All of these aircraft have Miligram seats, which are built locally.

The Miligram chairs, created and manufactured by Turkish engineers, are significantly more affordable and provide a more comfortable flight experience.  The seats for AJet’s new Boeing aircraft were made entirely domestically by TCI Aircraft Interiors, a Turkish Airlines affiliate.

Six of AJet’s newly acquired Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft have so far been equipped with Miligram seats, which are certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).  The seats have passed all of EASA’s extensive testing, which includes static, dynamic, and flammability tests.

The Miligram chairs provide extra legroom and a more comfortable flight because to its lightweight and compact design.  Because recycled carbon fiber is used in its rear structure, it is stronger and lighter than its rivals.

Utilizing carbon fiber cuts carbon emissions and gasoline costs.  At the same time, home manufacture increases economic value and lessens reliance on foreign suppliers in the aviation sector, and their lightweight greatly improves fuel efficiency.

Bodrum will develop into a significant AJet hub in 2026

After forming a strategic alliance with TUI, one of the biggest travel agencies in Europe, Bodrum is set to become a significant hub for AJet in 2026. Direct flights from several European locations to Bodrum will be introduced as part of the collaboration, according to an AJet statement.  By offering sales and capacity help on the chosen routes, TUI will significantly boost Turkish tourism.

The revised schedule from Bodrum:

One flight per week to:
Leipzig
Copenhagen
Berlin
Hanover
Vienna

Stockholm
Prague
Bucharest
Basel
Bremen

Twice a week to:
London-Stansted
Nuremberg
Hamburg

On June 26, 2026, AJet will operate its inaugural trip from Bodrum to Europe.  All TUI platforms and AJet’s official sales channels offer tickets.
