It has been reported that between January and August there has been a total of 75.7 million passengers flying with Turkish Airways.
The number of domestic flights both landing and taking off reached at total of 88,337 and the number of international flights reached 64,373. Numbers declined greatly during the pandemic in Turkey and of course on a global scale. These numbers have nearly reached the same level during last month compared to the same period of 2019.
August saw a total of 8,825,944 passengers on domestic flights and 9,427,184 international passengers at airports throughout Turkey. A total of 18,277,215 passengers along with direct transit passengers used Turkish Airports. The airport cargo traffic totalled 95,821 tons on the domestic fligths and international totalled 290,397 tons.
It was announced in July by the European Organization for Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) that Turkey had ranked first in Europe with a total of 324,706 flight traffic in the first 6 months of the year.
