By the end of 2025 Turkish Airlines plans to have flown 2.1 million passengers to North Cyprus. According to company representatives, the airline currently serves passengers with 152 weekly flights and has built a robust air connection between Türkiye and the island.
The first two months of 2025 saw a 22.5% rise in passenger traffic on the North Cyprus route over the same period the previous year, indicating rising demand bolstered by marketing initiatives. Travel operators planning cultural tours can take advantage of beneficial ticket opportunities all year long from Turkish Airlines, which places a high priority on the growth of tourism in North Cyprus.
The airline provides discounted flights from several departure points as part of its support for the “Island Cyprus” advertising drive. Under this arrangement, THY offers discounted pricing on two daily flights between North Cyprus and Istanbul and London.
The company began offering cultural vacation packages last year, and as part of the initiative, it transported 4,000 visitors to North Cyprus. Ten thousand is the goal for this year.
While its subsidiary AJet services North Cyprus from Sabiha Gökçen, Ankara Esenboğa, and Mersin Çukurova airports, THY now offers flights to Ercan Airport from Istanbul and Antalya.
