Among 36 European countries, Turkey has been listed as the most affordable for its services and its consumer goods according to The Turkish Statistical Institute.
Turkey, scoring 42, was found at the bottom of the stats index list due to its more affordable prices when compared to other countries in Europe. Other countries with low prices ranked just above Turkey where North Macesdonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Romania.
The country with the highest prices for services and consumer goods was Switzerland. Following Switzerland was Iceland, Denmark, Ireland and Luxembourg.
Turkey may have taken the lead in that area, but the country’s prices of personal transport equipment are still above average for the EU. Data has revealed that Turkey’s consumer electronics are more expensive in comparison to other nations.
Turkey however did manage to obtain the lowest score on the clothing sector and the country is doing well in terms of hotels and restaurants over all showcasing Turkey’s affordability.
