Turkey Cycling Race in 2024

Hundreds of cyclists from all over the world are expected to participate in the 59th Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye, which is scheduled to begin on April 21 in the Mediterranean resort city of Antalya and conclude in Istanbul on April 28.

The Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye, which is celebrating its 59th year, is preparing to welcome elite teams and athletes as it travels through the country’s distinctive landscapes and rich cultural heritage. It is the only intercontinental bicycle tour in the world, with riders crossing a bridge to connect Istanbul’s Asian and European sides.

The Turkish Cycling Federation organises the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey with cooperation from the Turkish Presidency and the Sports Ministry of Turkey. Originally known as the Marmara Tour, it was started in 1963, received international attention in 1965, and has been supported by the president since 1966. Being the only cycling competition in Turkey to be classified as a “ProSeries” by the International Cycling Union (UCI), the Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye (TUR) has made a substantial contribution to the growth of Turkish cycling.

Eight days and eight stages will comprise the 59th Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye, which will travel from Antalya to Kemer and Kaş, Fethiye to Marmaris, Bodrum to Kuşadası, and then on to Manisa, İzmir, and Istanbul. Renowned cyclists from around the world will compete fiercely along the route, with the final stage from İzmir to Istanbul taking place after teams fly from İzmir. The race is expected to be closely followed by millions of people, and hundreds of television stations and media outlets worldwide will cover it. As a result, the tour is expected to attract spectators everywhere.
