We are all in this fight together against the Coronavirus outbreak, and doing what we can to help our friends & colleagues across the world, hence why recently Turkey sent thousands of medical aid supplies, antibacterial liquid and sewing machinery to both Spain & Italy, two of the worst hit countries in Europe.
The crates were loaded onto a cargo flight, and flew to Spain first and then Italy before heading back home to Turkey. There was even a welcome message for the recipients of the medical equipment, taken from the sayings of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, a famous Turkish Philosopher, which read: ‘There are many hopes behind the despair. There are many suns behind the darkness’. It was even translated into Spanish & Italian.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg mentioned that the shipment was a clear indication of alliance solidarity and he ‘is proud that our NATO allies are supporting each other via disaster relief center. We are stronger together.’
