It’s a smooth ride’ Erhan Demircioğlu says to reporters as he demonstrates the Hydrogen Powered Scooter ‘Hebunk’. A revolution in the very popular & growing E-scooter space, it appears to be comparatively better than all the others in the market, given it’s quicker charging time and inclination sensor helping the rider up those steep hills.

Built with Hydro-technology, which is already proving a workable solution in vehicles and motorbikes, the ‘Hebunk’ defeats many of the cons that you get with existing E-scooters, for example, it’s fuel cell only takes a matter of five minutes to charge, compared to the traditional five to eight hours, you can travel up to 60km on a single charge, and you no longer have to carry them up the hills. Add to that, that you also wouldn’t have the potential pollution issue of having to discard thousands of battery cells when they finally are defunct of use, and you have a future mode of transport that is already popular, financially attractive and eco-friendly.

Hyrdogen technology might be new to Turkiye, but it’s not new to those behind the new E-scooter project, as they’ve been perfecting their craft for the last decade, working on fuel cells, storage & charging + as an added bonus, they’ve now also secured both domestic and European patents protecting their product for years to come. What’s even more impressive is that the team managed to produce the E-scooter under their own steam, as many investors who were approached in the initial stages believed that it couldn’t be done right now, and it was only a project for the future. How those investors have changed their minds now.

Demircioğlu went on to comment, that one of the best things about the E-scooter is the enduring battery life which lasts around 14 years, compared with the traditional 5 years of a Lithium battery. He states that ‘Whilst electric vehicles are viewed as environment-friendly you have to bear in mind that their electricity is obtained from plants using fossil fuels. With our hydrogen batteries you can fill them by using water and heat only, which emits only steam, which can be generated through renewable energy sources.’
