The Temple of Apollo has undergone an overhaul worth 25.1 million TL which will allow the ancient site to be visited at night by tourists and the public.
The old ticket office has been removed and replaced with a brand new one consisting of steel floors, plus a restroom has been installed as well as an elevator, which can be used by visitors. New walking paths have been created, plus there are now security cameras which have been installed in different areas within the site.
Ahmet Demir, Aydin Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism, as well as the Director of the Miletus Museum, Baran Aydin both visited the temple to do an inspection.
Demir stated that “We inspected the landscaping and construction work at the Temple of Apollo in Didim on-site. Today, a test opening ceremony was held at the site, and visitors have begun.”
