Altinkum has many attractions to suit many tastes, local markets Saturday and Wednesday, Super New marina, with beach club and yacht club to relax and spend time in, sandy beaches to laze away the day with plenty of water sports for the energetic, the ancient temple of Apollo for those wanting to step back in history.

Stroll along with seafront in the evenings, looking across the sea, on a clear night you can see across the bay to the Bodrum peninsula and its white wash properties nestled on the hillside.  There is plenty on this seafront to entertain and satisfy most tastes, local and international cuisine, shops and small bazaars, traditional ice cream sellers, and the odd night club tucked away, for the younger generation, or not so young if the fancy takes you. 

Walk a little further and you will come to the lovely new open air Ampitheatre, opened just this year, in high season, live top artists will entertain you in this lovely new spot, with the back drop of the Aegean sea behind.  Attention to detail has been paid here, and below the theatre are lovely landscaped gardens, and walkways, leading to the beach area.  The transformation is fantastic.

Walk a little further in this direction and you will come to the Didim Marina, with its beach club and yacht club, there is a gym as well all of which is open to the public, and  a small selection of restaurants all with lovely marina and sea views.

The main boulevard through the centre of the resort is open for business all year around, and you can find shops selling just about everything, you will also find more of the traditional local restaurants here.

From the resort there are many organised excursions, you can do something different every day of the week if you wanted for every day of your  whole holiday, or if you want to travel further afield, you can visit many places from the local bus station, you have plenty of choice.
