Property sales have surged by 19% so far with a total of 6,257 homes sold in Antalya this year to foreign nationals, bringing further good news and a boost to Turkey´s growing global economy.
Popular with people from the Gulf, Middle East, Russia, Germany, the UK & Azerbaijan as many as 744 homes were purchased in September, with a peak of 850 in May, one of the busiest months of the year, as homes are bought for the upcoming summer months.
Proving just how popular Turkey & Antalya has become, if you look back to 2013, there were only 5548 sales to foreigners, but last year this had become 8,000 and by the end of this year it should be 10,000.
Selman Ozgun is the Chairperson of the established Developer Helmann Yapi and he commented that there are a number of factors boosting sales in Antalya including ´a heavy focus on foreign markets to promote local housing in the area, and the scheme that grants Turkish citizenship to foreigners who buy real estate worth $250,000 USD.´
The other reason behind the increase is that Antalya is one of the world´s best-loved tourist resorts, and is one of the fastest growing cities where people can discover fabulous beaches, Traditional Turkish Culture and modern shopping centres. There are stunning mountain views, a fabulous Harbour, the Beach Park & Aqualand, the historic Old Town and the National Park which offers hiking, nature, wildlife & archaeological sites.
