Liverpool is set to become Jet2.com’s 11th base in the UK when flights start operating from March 2024. Jet2 will be operating 20 new routes in the summer season with 54 departures on a weekly basis.

Out of the 20 routes 7 are to destinations which are not currently operating from Liverpool. These routes are to Rhodes, Paphos, Zakynthos, Gran Canaria, Bourgas, Menorca  and Funchal. Four of the 20 routes will only be operating from two airlines, Ryanair and easyJet. These routes are to Alicante, Tenerife, Faro and Palma de Mallorca.

There will also be direct flights operating with easyJet from Liverpool to various destinations in Turkey. Jet2.com’s network will operate the following routes to Turkey, Antalya (4 versus easyJet 4), Bodrum (2 versus easyJet 2) and Dalaman (4 versus easyJet 6).

CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Steve Heapy stated that, “We are absolutely delighted to be expanding our award-winning flights and holidays to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which becomes our 11th UK airport. This announcement significantly expands our footprint and comes on the back of the significant demand that we know is out there across Liverpool, Merseyside and the wider region from customers and independent travel agents. We have seen time and time again how popular our product is when we bring it to new customers, and we look forward to bringing our VIP customer service to holidaymakers from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and delighting them with our product.”
