The skies were filled with dozens of brightly coloured hot air balloons floating over one of Turkey’s much loved tourist destinations, the Cappadocia.
Cappadocia is located in central Anatolia and is truly the most unique and magical site. The area is filled with rock formations resembling an incredible moon-like landscape, fairy chimneys, cave churches, deep valleys and rock cut-out monasteries. It really does look like something out of a fairy tale.
This will be the festivals second year and again it has been organised by Pasha Balloons, a balloon company which operates in Turkey’s central Nevsehir province.
Halis Aydogan, chairman of Pasha Balloons stated “that besides local hot air balloons pilots in the region, some others from Spain and Portugal are also participating in the festival.”
Aydogan also added “There is quite a lot of interest. We expect the festival to continue in the best way possible for three days. Cappadocia is the place where the most balloon flights take place in the world.”
Next year Pasha Balloons is hoping that there will be many more from abroad taking part in the festival.
