Kusadasi gives you 8 beaches to choose from. There is the very popular Ladies Beach, a big sweep of golden sand that’s backed by a smart promenade filled with a variety of restaurants and bars providing all day refreshments and food. There are plenty of sun beds and umbrellas for hire, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine or for those who want a more active day at the beach there is a variety of water sports available, including windsurfing which is a big hit at this beach. There is also Long Beach, which is great for water-sports and snorkeling. Pamuk Beach offers a long stretch of sand and ample amounts of space accommodating everyone. The beach is also backed by a range of all inclusive hotels. For a quieter option, there is Kustur Beach, which tends to be less busy.
Kusadasi has three water-parks within easy reach, too. There’s Aqualand, at Kusadasi’s Long Beach, for a start. And on the outskirts, you’ve got Aqua Fantasy, part of an upmarket hotel and spa complex, which comes with DJs and dance shows as well. And last but not least, there’s Adaland, with its dolphin and sea park.
The ruins of the ancient city of Ephesus are just half an hour away. You can see the remains of the Temple of Artemis, the Roman library, and even the public toilets and a sign for the brothel. Just outside the city is the house where the Virgin Mary is said to have died.
