Action movie star Jason Statham has been working in the Turkish Riviera for the past two months on British director Guy Ritchie’s new movie “Five Eyes” and has apparantly been singing Turkey’s praises.
The actor has been staying at a hotel at Belek Tourism Centre where he met with hotel chairman Ali Safak Oztur who has stated that he was very glad to host Mr Statam during his time in the Mediterranean resort city.
Ritchie’s latest project “Five Eyes” began shooting in Antalya back in January 2021. The botanical garden which held the international horticultural exposition EXPO 2016 has been transformed into a film set for the movie. Parts of the movie have also been shot in other areas of Antalya like the city centre of Kaleici and Cumhuriyet Sqaure.
This is not the first collaboration between Statham and Ritchie. The pair worked together back in 1998 on Ritchie’s first movie and directorial debut “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.”
Reports have stated that Mr Statham has been very impressed by Turkey’s culture and hospitality and is wanting to visit the Antalya region again with his family.
