Are you familiar with the name of Zach King? He’s a famous digital illusionist and filmmaker, and to show off the new high tech facilities at Istanbul Airport, he’s just been commissioned to do a short commercial and film for them.
Turkish Airlines, who will be the main tenant of the new hub actually commissioned Zach before, when he helped them produce a safety video for their new carrier, and already a fan of Istanbul it wasn’t difficult to persuade Zach to work with them again on the new project.
Once all build phases are complete the airport is actually set to be the worlds largest capable of handling up to 200 million passengers on a yearly basis. The film showcases the new facilities, the architecture and the Business Lounge, which Zach hailed as an excellent space, commenting that ‘I’ve never had such good food in an airport lounge before’.
There was a crew of around 90 people working on the production and it’s actually entitled ‘First to the Gate’ as it follows Zach and his co-star JJ Carroll, through the airport on a race to their aeroplane, and it was directed by both Zach and Jadon Gauthier of Wonderbox Entertainment.
