On Sunday Ephesus, Turkeys ancient city, kicked off its Night Museum Concert Series.
The concert, which is organised by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was hosted in Celsus Library.
The concert series has been introduced following the extended visiting hours of the ancient city that were recently introduced. Visitors may visit the site until midnight. The aim of the night time visits is for visitors to get the opportunity to see and explore the ancient city in a different kind of atmosphere.
Renowned violinist Andres Gabetta performed with the Izmir State Symphony Orchestra. Also featured in the program was composer Antonio Vivaldi’s violin piece “The Four Seasons.”
The aim of this new venture is to combine cultural performances with historical sites.
