Record snow depths measured in Palandöken, Turkey. According to data supplied by the Turkish State Meteorological Service, Palandöken Ski Resort in Erzurum, eastern Turkey, achieved the maximum snow depth among Turkey’s ski centers at 237 centimeters (93.3 inches), indicating ideal conditions for the winter travel season.

According to data, snow depths in ski resorts in Hakkari and Ergan, both in eastern Turkey, exceed 192 centimeters, while Kartalkaya in Bolu, northwest Turkey, records 185 cm. The measurements at Nemrut Ski Resort in eastern Turkey were 162 centimeters, followed by Ambet in northern Turkey (138 centimeters) and Konaklı in eastern Turkey (137 centimeters).

A number of popular ski resorts, such as Sarıkamış in northeastern Turkey (129 centimeters), Yıldızdağı in central Turkey (120 centimeters), Uludağ in Bursa, northwest Turkey (116 centimeters), and Erciyes in Kayseri, central Turkey (98 centimeters), continue to report heavy snowfall.

Other resorts such as Yalnızçam in northeastern Türkiye, Keltepe in the Western Black Sea region, and Murat Dağı in western Türkiye also retain high snow depth.

The majority of ski resorts are likely to experience mostly snowy conditions in February, with temperatures in high-altitude regions predicted to be below seasonal averages. In the upcoming days, steady snow conditions are anticipated to boost winter sports and tourism throughout Turkey, according to the authorities.
