Steeped in history, located on the southern coast of the Peninsula, and one of the largest port cities in the Mugla province is Bodrum a truly beautiful place visited not only by the likes of you and  me, but it’s also been touched by the more elite amongst us, including royalty.

With a hot Summer Mediterranean climate, and a mild humid Winter, it’s always been a favourite for holidays throughout the year and with plenty to see and do here it’s no wonder why it’s consistently a top choice for tourists & people looking to permanently relocate to Turkey.

In terms of royal visitors to its shores, most recently in 2017 Prince Harry & Meghan chose Bodrum for their Summer Holiday, choosing to stay in a private villa in the suburb of Yalikavak, overlooking the Bay & it’s Marina, and previously back in 2015, it was also visited by Prince Charles who along with Prince Harry, was there for the celebrations of the Battle of Gallipoli, held in Anzac Cove. It’s to be said however that Prince Charles is actually a rather regular visitor, also attending in 1989, 2005 and 2007. Accompanying him in 2007, part of which was seeing the mausoleum of the 13th century philosopher Mevlana Jalauddin Rumi, was also his wife The Duchess of Cornwall.

Ahmet Ertegun, one of the biggest names in the Music Industry, and the co-founder & President of Atlantic Records up until his death in 2006, had a property located in the heart of Bodrum, and given his stature within the elite circle, was always hosting big names at his villa, including the likes of Princess Margaret, Yves Saint Laurent, Sting, Dustin Hoffman & Michael Caine.

Over the last few years, with a higher focus on promoting a health & well-being lifestyle Bodrum has also become associated with many modelling agencies, whose models included Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Kelly Brook, & Sadie Frost with some even suggesting that Kate Moss may have even purchased a home whilst she was promoting the latest swimsuit range, as she was seen out and about doing some house-hunting in between takes.

On a more anonymous note, Bodrum has also become a haven for many of the superyacht owners, who frequent the Southern coast looking for a little slice of paradise, and this year alone has seen 63 super luxury vessel cruising the seas. Previously, boats belonging to Roman Abramovich, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill & Melinda Gates, Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani & Elon Musk have been seen.

If you want to get a glimpse of your favourite actors & actresses then Bodrum is a great place in which to do just that too, as none other than Tom Hanks , Catherine Zeta Jones & Michael Douglas have all visited here on numerous occasions, even taking time out of their holidays to wave to fans on the shore!

It just goes to show, that if Bodrum can attract the likes of the elite, then there’s absolutely no reason why it can’t attract the likes of you and me too, and no, you don’t need to have millions of pounds in the bank either – it caters for everyone!
