Time magazine has selected Bodrum as one of the “World’s Greatest Places” in its top 100 list branding the resort as the “St Tropez of Turkey.”
The article featured a short column with the headline reading “Riveria on the rise” which was written by freelance CNN producer Tamara Hardingham-Grill.
She went on to say that “The seaside city of Bodrum has reinvented itself several times over the past few decades—from a quiet fishing village to a popular resort town to a glamorous hot spot.” She then continued to say “Look no further than its superyacht marina, which reportedly draws billionaires like Bill Gates and Roman Abramovich.”
Hardingham-Grill also listed some of Bodrum’s newest luxurious lodges and also gave special mention to the Bodrum Castle which has recently re-opened after being closed since 2017 for restoration.
The magazine makes its 100 list by taking a close look into each places natural and historical characteristics.
Other areas on the “World’s Greatest Places” list were Cannes, London, Madrid, Helsinki from Finalnd, Fareo Islands from Denmark and Ljubljana from Slovenia.
Congratulations Bodrum!!
