Bodrum already offers a plethora of amazing restaurants that offer both local cuisine & international dishes to the masses of people that arrive for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner every day, and now there are a few new additions to the gastronomic family that are definitely worth a mention. If it´s breakfast you are after then a visit to Bozukba? in Gölköy will leave you hugely satisfied and ready for the day ahead. Serving fabulous fresh dishes from 7am every morning, it is situated on a farm of 12,000 acres and there´s an organic garden along with ducks, peacocks and roosters so there´s plenty of fresh eggs to go around. When you are ready for a spot of lunch then options include the new Aman da Bravo restaurant in the Boho Hotel in Yalikavak which offers International classics, or there is the Bodrum Edition Hotel in the centre of town which houses Turkey´s first gluten free restaurant and offers a gluten-free brunch on Saturdays. For dinner, you really can´t go wrong with Arka Pizzeria, whose new second restaurant is now open in Yalikavak, or Pizza Locale which has also opened another branch in the central Konacik area.
As in any modern city good news travels fast, and therefore it´s always advisable that you book in advance, especially at weekends, as these new places are getting full quickly, and you definitely don´t want to miss out!
Healthcare has always been a top priority for officials here, and their commitment to providing a service that´s highly regarded as one of the best in Turkey, was proven recently with the official opening of the new American Hospital which has replaced the private hospital in the centre of Town. A series of renovation works has enabled more beds to be provided, more wards, and better facilities, so even though we don´t wish anyone to be injured whilst their here, rest assured you´ll be in good hands if anything does happen! It´s also being referred to as the ´Museum Hospital´ as quite a few of the Roman artefacts discovered whilst restoration and renovation work was carried out on site, are on display here too.
In terms of entertainment, you can expect big names, as Buddha-Bar has arrived in Bitez, bringing with it all the glitz and glamour that you´d expect from a chain that has venues in some of the best cities across the world including Paris, London & Monte Carlo. An exclusive beach club, it will be open from 11am to 6pm, serving Asian Fusion and some of the most amazing cocktails and drinks you´ll find. Also vying for a top spot is the new Root Bodrum Beach club which opened in Yalikavak, by the same group who also own the Mitte Restaurant and Sub Karaköy Hotel, and they´ve also gone for top of the range facilities including an infinity pool, comfortable lounging, fitness centre, spa, Bali/Indonesian cuisine and International DJ performances.
