Antalya, like the majority of the Mediterranean, is surrounded by picturesque mountain ranges covered with pine trees, while the terrain east of the city, towards Side, is flatter and home to citrus and banana plantations. The markets, bars, and restaurants in the harbour are still very traditional. The harbour is full of yachts and vessels. There are a few beaches in Antalya, but Lara Beach, which is 10 kilometres from the city centre, is the most well-known.
