It has been reported that Antalya has come in third place in the top luxury yacht production bases taking in revenue at a whopping $1 billion 90 million.
Officials of the Free Zone in Antalya expected an increase compared to 2018 and 2019. It has been reported that 1899 people have been employed in the yacht sector resulting in 450 yachts being produced and delivered to their owners. Commercial yachts are also on the dock waiting to be delivered to British and American business people and Norwegian firms.
Most of Antalya’s yachts have been sold to countries in the EU. The owners of the yachts have been travelling over to Antalya instead of countries like Italy and France for any repairs or maintenance that needed doing on their luxurious vessels while sailing around the Mediterranean.
When yacht owners come for repairs their entire crew will also be with them meaning the tourism regions of Antalya will see a substantial increase in value.
