Today, 23 April 2020, is National Sovereignty and Children’s Holiday in Turkey 100th Anniversary, a very special day and landmark day celebrating 100 years since the opening of the first Grand Assembly- the first parliament of the Turkish Republic.
A special day, but a day no one could have predicted a few months ago, empty streets in villages, towns and city’s not many celebrations to be seen to mark this day.
To mark this Turkish Airline’s special flight TK1920 a Boeing 777 took a two and half hour flight and created a flightpath over the centre of Turkey in the shape of the crescent moon and star – the biggest flag of Turkey.
