If you, like many, are situated in Bodrum and love your Golf, then it´s good news for you, as the Regnum Golf and Country Club has just opened the first 18 hole round in Bodrum and the fourth course designed by Tim Lobb and built by Evandr & Bolukbasi of Golf Tek.
In Collaboration with the developer Fikret Ozturk who owns the 9 hole Bodrum Golf and Tennis Club, this new venture is a par 71 and it´s designer Lobb adds that ´at 1450 acres, is rather spread out, with lots of long views of forests, valleys and hills´.
Occupying a former olive grove site, Lobb goes on to add that ´Because of the Rocky condition, they worked the design out in the field, in close partnership with their contractors, demanding total trust between architect, client and contractor´.
Following on from their first completed project at Carya Golf Club in Belek, the pair have now turned their attention to Ankara, and it´s first full 18 hole course. On Bodrum and the golf course, Ozturk commented that ´It´s a wonderful destination with hills and mountains, sea and beaches, but the degree of development in recent years means it can be a little frantic´.
Continuing with the good news, there are plans to build up to 275 villas on the property over the next few years, for which Turkish Connextions are more than likely to have access to.
