Hollywoods royalty dines on Turkish cuisine at this years Academy Awards after party

Award season is back in full swing!! Hollywood’s most famous celebrities, movie stars and producers gathered together to attend this years 94th Academy Award ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

This years menu for the after party, for the very first time, included Turkish dishes which were served to the Hollywood A-listers. Turkish cuisine such as Black Sea Pide and a Creamy Aprioct Dessert where featured on the menu along with past favourites such as smoked salmon oscars and spicy tuna cones. The menu was prepared by top Celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck along with the help of culinary collective Ghetto Gastro.   

Chef Puck stated that “Turkey is one of the richest world cuisines thanks to its traditional recipes and organic products. There are many recipes and products to be discovered in Turkish cuisine. All seven regions of Turkey are full of flavor, history and culture. There are many cities with delicious food that must be visited in Turkey. My family and I love to visit Turkey every summer.”

The after party, known as the Governors Ball took place in the Ray Dolby Ballroom on the very top floor of the Hollywood and Highland straight after the ceremony.

Chef Wolfgang Puck has been catering the Academy Awards for almost 30 years. He stated that “Every year we look to find ways to keep things new, fresh and fun” and that “The Oscars Governors Ball is an event where food, fashion, culture, cinema and music collide.”
