Turkish Airlines Cargo Now Ranked Third in the World

Having had a highly successful June, one of the highest growth rate within the top 25 carriers and now with a 5.7% market share, Turkish Airlines Cargo has moved up three places and is now in the top three air cargo firms internationally.

It’s already surpassed some of the biggest brands in America, Europe & the Middle East, and it now flies to over 96 destinations with a fleet of 25 planes. Pushing for top spot in the next few years to come Ilker Ayci who is Turkish Airlines Chairperson said ‘Achieiving this performance, even during a a pandemic, is an important indicator that we do not recognize any obstacles in front of our success’, and he went on to thank all colleagues for the success.

Offical stats from the AITA show that much of their success was down to Hungary where one of every four cargo exports is carried by Turkish Airlines Cargo, giving them a huge 2% market share in the country. In May, Turkish Airlines Cargo also exported over 1668 tonnes.
