Library opened in Istanbul Airport

On October 11th a ceremony was held for the opening of the brand new library in Istanbul Airport. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy attended the ceremony.

The library is situated in the domestic flights terminal section of the airport. The library offers 1,350 literature books, 500 Nobel Prize winning books, 500 children’s books, 150 books written in English and 50 magazines.

For passengers wanting to take a book out will have to have a membership. The book can then be returned to the library or to any other public library in Turkey.

Opening times for the library are between the hours of 6.30am until 11.30pm 7 days a week.
